What I LOVE about Motherhood…

In Uncategorized by savvysassymoms8 Comments

I have some new contributors starting on Savvy Sassy Moms this week and since it’s Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d ask a few of them what they LOVE about being a Mom…

I love when my 2 year old daughter grabs my cheeks to give me a kiss
I love the sound of tiny feet running through the house
I love being a mom when I get to give and hear tickle giggles!

Alli
Mother of a 2 yr old girl, lives in southern California and blogs
over at Diapers-n -Heels.

I love tiny fingerprints, you won’t want to wipe them clean.
I love when the girls kiss themselves in the mirror.
I love how I have changed after having children.
I love thatmyheart is no longer protected by my rib cage.
It is carried around by three different but glorious little girls.
I love that the youngest of beings will have the ability to  inspire,
strengthen and encourage you, by just one look, hug or kiss.

Rumour
Mother or three little diva’s and blogs over at the The Rumour Mill.

I love being a mom because it is the most rewarding thing I have done or will ever do in my lifetime. I’m actually shaping the life of a human being – scary at times, but I’m up for the challenge.  My son is the epitome of the love my husband and I have for each other, and represents a bright future for our family.

I love being a Mom when I can make my son feel happy and secure. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing him with a smile on his face, knowing that my love helped contribute to it.

I love it when my son says I love you. It really sound like I luff you. It’s the two most perfect words ever.

I love the sound of my son running down our long hallway, his little feet pitter-pattering on the hardwood floor and the crinkling noise his diaper make as he runs.

I love watching my son interact with other kids. They seem to have a language all their own. I can see his own unique personality shine. He loves to make others laugh and is quite the comic.

Christina
Mother to one little man, she lives in Los Angeles and blogs over at Mama 2 the Rescue.

I absolutely love being a mom when I hear sweet words like “I love you too Mom.” or an out of the blue “I love you!”
I love being a mom because I get to watch my children evolve and find what they love and learn from them.
I love it when my children snuggle in their beds with me during our bedtime routine, its so warm and cozy and sweet.
I love watching them grow and teaching them.  Right now I love the sound of my 10 month old wanting “ut, ut, ut!” (up) all the time. Up is his favorite place to be.

Lindsay
Mother of 2 boys, lives in Utah and blogs over at Found for You and Me.

I am a better person because I’m a Mom. It has brought a whole new meaning to the word LOVE for me.  There is nothing like it.

I love it when my oldest daughter is affectionate and genuinely enjoying keeping her twin sisters company. It just melts my heart because she loves them with her whole heart. They are lucky to have her.

I love that my twins laugh at my silly antics. When I sing nonsense songs, make ridiculous noises and dance around like I’m a Katy Perry back up dancer, they giggle to no end.   I’ll do anything for a good ol’ baby belly laugh.

Nicole
Mom of 2 beautiful twin girls and writes over at Moments that Define a Life.

I love that a big gummy grin popping up over a crib railing brightens the whole morning; I love that baby giggles makes everyone in the house smile; I love the moments when a 3 year old big brother shares his favorite toys and blankies with his baby brother; I love the joy my preschooler finds in the simplest of things; I love knowing that when I see a dinosaur on my nightstand it was put there by a little guy who loves his mommy & daddy so much that he wanted them to have one to sleep with too; for all of these reasons and a million more, I love being a mom!

Sara
Mother of two boys andis pretty darn sassy in the kitchen, she blogs over at Mom Endeavors.

I love being a mom specially when I mess up as a parent and my girls say ” it’s ok mom, things happen”!
I love being a mom when I see myself through my girls eyes, that’s special.
I love knowing I’m growing up with the company of my daughters, we are all growing up together.

Just seeing that my daughters are healthy is priceless and the best thing for a mom!  Being a mom is an everyday education and my girls are the teachers in my school called motherhood.  I am the luckiest mom ever, my girls are the sweetest and I love them.

Wanda
Mom of 2 girls, a pastry chef and shares all her sweet treats
over at My Sweet Zepol.

  1. I love being able to shape a life and hopefully add one more good person to this world. I love that I have someone to the mall with when the hubby doesn’t. I love that I am someone’s hero. I love being woken up with tiny kisses and hugs. I love absolutely everything about being a mom.

The good & the bad is what makes motherhood so sweet! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  3. I LOVE every single thing about being a mom! I really do! I had no idea this little person would turn my world upside down in such a wonderful way.

  4. What I love about motherhood is that unconditional love… even as they turn into teenagers and you think they hate you, if you are and have been doing things right… they still love you, no matter what. My kids are sometimes my biggest supporters. And they are such amazing individuals, that I know I have done something right. And I now have a toddler whose smile makes me the happiest mother ever and fills my heart with so much love. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly, I would not change anything.

  5. So sweet! I love reading everyone’s reasons! There are so many great things to love about being a mom!!

  6. This is so sweet! I loved reading it on this Valentines day as – with children around – it evolves into something more! More meaningful even, I’d say!

  7. I just found this blog and although it’s already a week after Valentines’ I’d still like to comment because there is so much to love about motherhood.

    ■ I love seeing their faces light up when they see me after being away for even just an hour (or less).
    ■ I love the tight hugs and little kisses.
    ■ I love the sound of tiny feet; the songs with lyrics that don’t sound quite right; the “i love you, mommy”s, “thank you, mommy”s, “please, mommy”s…

There are just so many things to love about being a mom, you can’t list them all 🙂

  8. The picture in this post brought me to this blog. Being a mom brings me great joy. I’ve enjoyed watching my daughters grow and fulfill their lives.

I need permission to use this picture in my Kindle book “I Am a Dream.” I am dedicating this book to my daughters. This picture will be placed on the dedication page, if I am given permission to use it. Thank you.
