Going over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house is made easier when you have a light, convenient and portable travel crib for your baby. Babies require a lot of stuff that can be overwhelming, having an easy, one-step operational travel crib that is easy to use, easy to carry and easy to handle is key in holiday sanity. Trust me.

The BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light 2 is an ideal and practical travel crib that makes traveling with baby for the holidays stress-free. BabyBjorn brings a sleek and modern European class to the baby market like no one else can. BabyBjorn, a company founded by Bjorn Jakobsen in 1961 with the motto to make life easier for parents of babies has been creating high quality, innovative products for over 50 years.

This BabyBjorn motto of ultimate convenience and safety for children was the main component in the design of the Travel Crib Light 2. The travel crib was developed for newborns up to 3 years old. It does not have a recommended weight limit since the innovative design makes it possible for even an adult to stand inside of it. However, discontinuation of the travel crib is highly encouraged when the child is able to climb in and out of it.
The entire Travel Crib Light weights a mere 11 pounds, including the carrying case. The thick durable fabric of the compact carrying case makes carrying the travel crib secure and convenient and just like carrying a suitcase.

The fabric of the Travel Crib Light 2 is soft and luxurious to the touch and 100% safe to taste; the fabric used in all of BabyBjorn products that are closest to baby are approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1 for baby products and are guaranteed free from hazardous substances and allergens.

Features of the BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light 2:

  • Lightweight – only 11lbs including the carrying case.
  • Steady, Innovative Design – the innovative design with a larger base creates a sturdy base along with the foot plugs on the bottom of the legs prevent sliding.
  • One-step setup – Set up of the Travel Crib Light 2 is as simple as can be. Simply put the crib out of the carrying case, hold the short sides and the legs will pop out and into place. That’s it!
  • Easily Portable – the travel crib compactly folds and goes into the carrying case in which makes traveling with the travel crib as easy as traveling with a suitcase.
  • Machine Washable – the crib fabric and the mattress cover is machine washable and easy to remove.
  • Measurements – Assembled: 32 x 44 x 24 in Folded in Carrying Case: 19 x 24 x 6 in

When prepping to travel with our baby, we stack everything we intend to take in a spot by the door the night before. That way, we can sleep easy, knowing that we’re ready to go in the morning and don’t have to “think” too much before heading out.

I would love, love, love to have this travel crib. Our children have three sets of grandparents and it’s so difficult to let them sit for us when they don’t have a crib. This would be so handy. Not to mention the use it would get on hotel stays because we haven’t had great success with hotel cribs.

When traveling with a little one – travel so baby has just eaten and is ready to sleep – this can make even a 3 hour trip with baby in the back easy! :) We don’t have any baby pack an play yet – so this would be so amazing to win! Fingers crossed!

We LOVE musical toys. They distract our guy when he’s starting to get fussy, and they can lull him to sleep when the time’s right. Plus, we always make sure we have his favorite flannel blanket!

Look into buying a pack n play or highchair at your destination. Often times it’s cheaper than renting. Drop it off at a goodwill or church on your way out of town and it’s tax deductible too.

pre-pack ready made outfits in large zip lock bags. This way they are easy to take with you anywhere and you will not have to rummage to put things together when they need a quick change (which is quite frequently with my children).
