If you’re looking for a great way to change your eye make-up just a little then look no further then this season’s metallic eyeliners. Pencil and cream versions make your eyes pop no matter what color they are.
Several months ago I was at Sephora getting lost in make up, as I often do when I’m there. I was looking for eyeliners when I came across the Sephora Collection, Flashy Liner Waterproof eyeliners. Like a little girl I was drawn to the metallic colors these liners came in. After way too long of deciding between colors I wound up getting Flashy Brown ($8), because I loved the coppery color. It goes on super creamy, and stays on all day.
Of course this spurred what some would call an obsession…
I don’t know what it is about the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Electric ($18) that caught my eye, but the instant I saw it I stopped. I love the aqua color, and have never gone that bright with an eye pencil, but this one makes me think it’s time to try. Just a little bit of that color could go a long way to make an amazing outfit complete.
The beautiful green of the Tropical Green Slide On Pencil from Nyx ($8) is a gorgeous shade that would look good with any skin and eye color. Not only is the green a deep emerald shade, but it has a metallic shimmer as well, that makes it a cut above the rest.
This year has been the year of color especially deep jewel tones. The e.l.f. Professional Studio Cream eyeliner in Punk Purple ($3) is the perfect example of how to use a jewel tone in your make up flawlessly. This color will go with everything and can be worn day or night.
No metallic collection would be complete without a gold eyeliner. Everywhere I look I see review after review about the L’Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Chrome Eyeliner in Gold Charge ($5). It seems to be the go-to gold eyeliner for make up artists and celebrity stylists everywhere. Who am I to argue, so I’ll just jump on board get myself one of these.
Are you loving metallic eyeliner? Did you try a great one you can share with us? I would love to hear which ones have impressed you.
