About the author  ⁄ Katie Kavulla

Having just made the move from big city life to settle down in the town where she and her husband both grew up, Katie Kavulla is a mom of three who strives to slow life down a bit… as impossible as that is with three kids under the age of 10. A blogger turned writer, Katie has spent the past few years combining the things that she loves into a career, with a focus on helping other moms tell their story, because Katie truly believes that every mom has one to tell.

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve dropped my phone while trying to juggle way too many things in my hands — my keys, my coffee, stuff the kids asked me to carry, my purse, someone’s coat (not usually mine) and goodness knows what else. Two hands aren’t nearly enough when you’re a mom and, if you’re like me, there’s no way you can tuck your phone into your bag, because it may be impossible to find it again in the depths of the black hole that is a mom bag. (That’s a story for another day.)

These phone cases are complete lifesavers for moms. While they won’t give you as many arms as an octopus, they will help lighten your load a bit, or at least make it a little more manageable as you don’t have to worry about dropping your phone.

3 Phone Cases that are Lifesavers for Moms

For when you want to leave your purse behind

There are so many times when you just want to go purse-free, like a quick trip to the grocery store or heading out to the park with your kids, but by the time you bring your wallet and your keys and your phone and the stuffed animal your daughter insists she must have with her, your hands are full. The jimmyCASE has a handy elastic band on the back of the case so you can tuck just the essential there and be on your way. With the ability to hold up to six cards as well as cash, you can easily leave your wallet at home, making trips to the zoo or preschool field trips so much lighter.

3 Phone Cases Moms will LOVE

For when you’re on the go, but need your phone

Whether you’re chasing toddlers or running errands, the fact of the matter is that as much as you’d like to tuck your phone away and enjoy the moment, sometimes you need to have it close at hand while you’re living your mom life. LoopyCase is a perfect solution. Just tuck your finger through the loop attached to the back of the case and you’re ready to go. It’s a simple solution that works so well you’ll wonder how you lived without a LoopyCase until now. (Image via @loopycases)

Phone Wallets for Busy Moms

For when you’ve given up on carrying a wallet altogether

Products that serve more than one function are a total dream come true for moms. There is so much stuff that comes along with being a mom and having kids that’s simply unavoidable, so when you’re able to combine two things into one? Lifesaver. There are a lot of phone/wallet combos available, but I love the ones from Erin Condren Designs. Not only are the customizable, but they have a magnetic closure that makes it easy to get to your phone quickly, as well as slots for credit cards and a little pocket on the back to tuck receipts.

What kind of phone case are you loving right now?

Some products were received for consideration for this post. All opinions are my own.

Ski Utah

For families who love to ski, this time of year is golden. In fact, getting to the mountain to hit the slopes — either on skis or snowboards — is probably all they can think about once the weather turns cool and the flakes start falling.

Let Ski Utah help you plan your vacation

If your family is looking for a fun ski destination this winter, Utah should definitely be a top contender and Ski Utah is here to help make it the best experience possible for families. A non-profit agency that was established in 1975, Ski Utah currently represents 14 resorts across the state, which means that you’ll be able to choose from the perfect visit with your kids. New to skiing in Utah? Their 10 Things You Didn’t Know about Utah Snow is a great place for insider tips. (Over six-feet of snow every April?!? What!?!)

Check out the Ski Utah Passport Program

If you have a fifth or six grade child, you’ll want to make sure you take full advantage of the Ski Utah Passport Program. Fifth graders can ski three times at each of the Ski Utah resorts (there are 14 total!) and sixth graders can ski once at each of the Ski Utah resorts throughout the season. And, that’s not to mention all of the other fun offers and deals included in the Passport.

You can read all of the details about the Ski Utah Passport Program and register your kids on the Ski Utah website. There is a $35 processing fee, a small price to pay for all that time on the mountain, right? The website also has details about upcoming blackout dates and other tips for making your visit as fun as possible that you won’t want to miss.

Want to grab a Passport for yourself, too? They have an adult version, the Ski Utah Yeti Pass, which allows you to ski once at each of the participating resorts, right alongside your kiddo.

See you on the slopes!

Svan Ice Cream Shop: Made of wood and full of ways to let their imagination run wild, this sweet little ice cream shop is toddler-sized and made with non-toxic materials. Warning: May cause your child to want actual ice cream.

Little Partners Art Easel: Now available in fun new colors, there’s nothing better than a gift that inspires your toddler to create. We love that you can take the legs off to make this a tabletop easel for extended play.

jujube Itty Bitty Be: For the toddler who insists on getting her purse before she leaves for the day, this mini-sized bag from one of our favorite diaper bag brands is going to become her instant favorite.

fluf Designs Lunch Bag: Toddlers come with a lot of accessories, so giving them a cool way to tote it all around is the best. And, a big thumbs up from moms for the lining that can be rinsed out.

Nook Pebble Lounger: The beanbag chair gets a major upgrade with these cool loungers! Toddlers will love these for their downtime. And yes, the cover is removable and machine washable.

theMINIclassy Dino Leggings: What’s that? Your toddler has an opinion about what she likes to wear? Shocking. These cool dino leggings — and everything at theMINIclassy, for that matter — are going to be a holiday hit for your stylish tot.

Let’s be honest, moms are the ultimate gift heroes. There isn’t a month all year long that goes by that we aren’t buying gifts for someone — birthday gifts for our kids’ friends, teacher gifts, gifts for grandparents — the gift searching and buying and wrapping is truly never-ending when you’re a mom.

Thankfully, when you have somewhere to shop like P.C. Richard and Son, being a gift hero is pretty easy… especially during the holiday season! With online shopping for guaranteed Christmas arrival available until noon EST on December 16th (and in-store shopping available right up until the holiday itself!) there are so many ways to keep your gift hero status in-tact this year.

P.C. Richard and Son has gifts for everyone on your list, even those who are hard to shop for. Take a peek at some of our favorite picks!

Gift Ideas for Teens

For the tween who listens to the same song over and over again

If you have one, you know exactly what we’re talking about. And, these Sony ZX Series Stereo Headset Headphones ($40) are more of a gift to you than they are to her anyway. But, we promise we won’t tell.

Gift Ideas for Dads Who Love Music

For the dad who loves to turn up the tunes

If Dad loves to get those epic family dance parties started, he’s going to love the SONOS Play 1 Wireless Speaker ($199). He can crank up the tunes as loud as he wants, in any room of the house he wants, to get the dance party started.

Gift Ideas for Moms with New Babies

For your sister who just had a new baby

She needs coffee and so much of it. The gift of coffee is perfect for any new mom in your life and the Ninja Coffee Bar is the ultimate Christmas gift. Expect a thank you text… when she’s up feeding the baby at 2 a.m.

Gift Ideas for Your Instagram-Obsessed Kid

For your budding Instagram sensation

He’s stealing your iPhone every chance he gets to record a new video or post something to his Instagram account, making the Polaroid Instant Print Digital Camera ($100) an idea gift choice to make you his Gift Hero this holiday season.

Gift Ideas for New Drivers

For your about to turn 16-year-old

You definitely don’t feel old enough to have a kiddo who is almost driving, but it’s the reality of it! If you have an up and coming new driver, keep her safe with the Garmin 5.0″ Hi-Resolution LCD Display GPS Navigation System ($150). It will help get her to where she needs to be without needing to have her phone in her hands while she drives, giving you peace of mind.

For these gifts and so many more that will make you the Gift Hero, head to P.C. Richard and Son.

Be the Gift Hero this holiday season

The New Primal- 30% off using SAVVYSASSYSNACKS

Stock up on holiday snacks from The New Primal

Keeping my kids on-track with healthy eating during the holidays is seemingly impossible. Having just come off of Thanksgiving weekend where a healthy meal seemed to consist of a few bites of pumpkin pie, a whole lot of whipped cream and, if I was lucky, a bite of turkey, I know how important it is to make sure they’re eating well this time of year. If your kids are like mine, keeping nourished with at least something healthy along the way makes all the difference in their behavior. The holiday days are long, the activities are busy and the excitement is at a max — the last thing anyone needs is a sugar-rush breakdown.

We’re thrilled to work with The New Primal this holiday season to share their line of snacks that make both parents and kids happy over the holidays. All of their products are made with the best of ingredients for a huge punch of protein — sustainably sourced ingredients and proteins, which have been raised without antibiotics or added hormones, minimally processed, grass fed and grass finished and, most importantly, delicious.

I have snacks from The New Primal stocked in our cars, in my purse and in our travel bags for all our holiday adventures. They make the perfect snack for when you’re rushing from one holiday activity to the next or for when your kids (or you!) need a boost of protein mid-Christmas tree hunt.

For Savvy Sassy Moms readers and followers, use the code SAVVYSASSYSNACK on The New Primal for 30% off your order, through Tuesday, November 29th.
